Visitor statistics
ActRanker uses Google Analytics 4, but only if you agree in the cookie notice. Google Analytics then places cookies to count how many people visit the site, which pages they read and which country they come from. Advertising features are switched off. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are placed.
Your choice is remembered in your browser for six months. You can change it at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Google may process this data outside the European Union; Google takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The data stays in Google Analytics for at most 14 months.
Error reports
When you report an error, your email program opens an email to [email protected] with the type of error, your description and the page you reported it from. You send that email yourself. The form stores nothing on the site. We use your email and your email address to fix the error and to reply to you. We delete them once the report has been handled, and after twelve months at the latest.
Hosting, fonts and photos
The site runs through Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare sees technical data such as your IP address in order to show and protect the site. ActRanker itself keeps no log of visitors. The fonts are on our own server. Artist photos are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons, so Wikimedia also sees your IP address.
YouTube
ActRanker uses the YouTube API Services to retrieve the number of subscribers of an artist's official YouTube channel. No data about visitors of this site is passed on to YouTube: the figures are retrieved in advance and refreshed at least every 30 days. The subscriber count is only shown and does not count in the score. See also the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your rights
You can always ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email [email protected]. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
